I’ve been quilting off and on for almost 25 years. Way more “off” than “on”. I guess I’m easily discouraged.
Or was I just too impatient to learn to do it right?
Anyway, I was going to post a picture of my first (that I can remember) completed quilt. It was made sometime between 1985 and 1990. But I can’t find it. It probably fell victim to a recent cleaning/decluttering frenzy. I vaguely remember putting it in the Goodwill bag.
It was probably 40 x 40 and made with a blue and pink fabric from JoAnn’s, just squares sewn together, nothing fancy. The batting was too thick to attempt any hand quilting so I tied it with yarn instead. And I’m not sure where I got the idea but to finish the quilt I just made the backing large enough to fold the edge over and tack it down.
Maybe it’s good that I can’t post a picture.
